i do care. i think mel's blog is a serious contender for post-postmodern sorta hipster cultural artifact of the year award, which i am starting. 2006's awards both went to Brandon Bird for Special Valentine's Unit and Signifier and Signified .
Or to put it another way...I nominate this blog for best post-post-modern/nominally hipster entry. While we decry the discursive hegemony of Melanie's pants, or lack thereof, we continue to assert the existence of the pants/no pants questions. Perhaps, to paraphrase msr. foooookoe, it is we other pantsnopants prudes...
